May 10, 2018 – Loza & Loza’s Daniel Castro spoke this past Saturday, May 5th at a monthly leadership training session of the Ivy League Project, a nonprofit organization devoted to helping the most promising students in economically disadvantaged areas apply to the nation’s elite universities.

Daniel spoke to a group of students in Porterville, California about his experiences and life lessons learned growing up in East Los Angeles, and his path towards becoming a student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and subsequently, a law student (U.C. Berkeley) and patent attorney. Central in that path was his education at the Jaime Escalante Math and Science Program (famously featured in the 1988 film Stand and Deliver).

Daniel spoke alongside California gubernatorial candidate Amanda Renteria and Ivy League Project founder Martin Mares.
